Virtual Test Information
Overview
A Virtual Test allows judges to view a video recording of the skater taking the test. Judges based anywhere in the United States can judge a test without the expense of traveling to the rink during the test session. The skater will need someone to record a video of them taking their test. This can be done by our skating director on a freestyle session. If you prefer to record your own video see information on Video Recording Requirements. When the skater and coach are satisfied with the video it is submitted to judges for viewing. Test results should be available within 5-7 days of video submission. The Club Test Chair will notify the skater of the results.
Fees Virtual Test:
Ice Time: If being recorded during a Freestyle Session, the skater will pay the rink the fee to be on that session which is typically $13-$15 at AZ Ice Arcadia.
Coach Fee: Skaters may need to pay their coach to attend the virtual test
Test Fee: $62.10* paid to Arcadia FSC (The club will pay the Videographer and submit the video to Virtual Judges)
*This test fee only applies when recording a test when an in-person test session is scheduled, but the judges present are not qualified for the requested test. Virtual tests at other times are the same price as in-person tests.
